After a season dominated almost completely by Suicune-Giraninja, I felt that this season the Pocket community fought back and came up with a bunch of good decks to make the meta more interesting. I for one am very happy to present here a deck that is not even listed as an option in the current tier list: Koko ex + 18 trainers.

If there is one type that thrived last season alongside Water, it was obviously Electric because it counters Water. So, the first reason to like this deck is that it kind of demolishes Suicune. Even more generally, though, the deck works great. 18 trainers is obviously very consistent, and Koko gets fully online in no time. One thing to look out for in some scenarios is whether to charge up the second Koko and use Plasma Hurricane again with the active to speed up both setups, or to unleash the 90 damage immediately. Usually, you will want to deal less damage in the short run to have two Kokos ready to go.

This pause from new expansions was more fun than I expected. We did need a meta-breather, and now we can start over (?) with Mega Evos next month!
